April 18, 2021: For Bengalis all over the world, Poila Boishakh holds great importance as it is the first day of the Bengali Calendar. Few Prothoma – Northern California Bengali Association members came together and celebrated this wonderful occasion over tea and snacks in the Elizabeth Park, Fremont. Impromptu chorus songs filled the air with sheer happiness and everyone had a great time after being locked in their homes for months.
