2 August, 2021: There’s nothing like seeing happy, smiling faces as far as the eye can see! And that’s what we saw yesterday at Prothoma’s ‘Tagore in the park’ event at Quarry lakes, Fremont.
We want to thank everyone for making this event a resounding success and for your generous participation, whether it was making chops, sweets, mutton rolls, phuchkas, ghugni, jhalmuri tirelessly, or taking pictures of the event, or by entertaining us with great MC-ing, singing, dancing, and reciting Robi Thakur’s prodigious works!

A special thanks to all our food volunteers and helpers who not only served amazing food but stayed and cleaned up after the event. There were some amazing cultural performances all around in form of song, dance, recitation and even a flash mob.
We are absolutely amazed at the second generation youths coming forward in Prothoma and we applaud Samrat and Anooja, our Prothoma’s first MCs. Then we are amazed at the dedication of our senior leader Prasenjit da who singlehandedly managed technicality of the audio system for the event! Kudos to the youngsters and the young at heart
The atmosphere and the energy and enthusiasm was electrifying among everyone who joined. The experience was like a carnival with street food, cultural programs and most importantly friends and families get together.
